Privacy Policy

Last updated 29 July 2026

We collect no personal data — no names, no IP addresses, and nothing you type, paste, capture, or search. That content stays on your Mac. The app uses Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count sessions only. No events are tracked. This website uses Microsoft Clarity for aggregate session analytics.

Your content stays on your Mac

SuperCmd runs entirely on your machine. Your clipboard history, snippets, screenshots, file searches, window layouts, dictation, and command history are stored locally and are never transmitted to us. No account is required to download or use the app.

Anonymous analytics in the app

The app uses Aptabase, a privacy-focused analytics service, to count sessions only. No events are tracked — not which features you open, not which commands you run, nothing beyond the count itself.

No personal information is attached to these counts, and no IP address is stored. We cannot tie a session to you, and the contents of your clipboard, prompts, files, or screenshots are never included.

Analytics on this website

This website uses Microsoft Clarity to understand how the pages are used. Clarity records anonymised session activity such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation, and aggregates it into heatmaps and session replays. It masks text you enter into form fields by default.

Clarity is provided by Microsoft, sets its own cookies to recognise a browsing session, and processes the data it collects under Microsoft's privacy statement. We use it only in aggregate, to see which parts of the site are working. We do not use it to identify individual visitors, and we do not combine it with any other data.

You can prevent it entirely by blocking scripts from clarity.ms in your browser or an extension; the site works normally without it.

Cookies

We set no advertising cookies and run no ad networks. The cookies present on this site come from Microsoft Clarity, which uses them to tell one browsing session apart from another, and from your sign-in session if you choose to log in. Blocking cookies does not stop you downloading or using SuperCmd.

AI features and your data

Some features — AI agents, the chat window, Quick AI, Quick Fix, and GPT Realtime — work by sending your prompt to a model provider. That request goes from your Mac directly to the provider you have configured, using your own API key or account. It does not pass through our servers, and we never see its contents.

Features that run on-device, such as Local Dictation, do not leave your Mac at all.

Purchases

Payments are handled by our payment processor, Polar. When you buy a licence, Polar collects the billing details needed to complete the transaction and issue your licence. We never receive or store your card number. Polar's handling of that data is governed by their own privacy policy.

Optional account

If you choose to sign in on this website — for example to manage a licence — we store the email address associated with your sign-in so we can identify your account. That is the only personal detail we hold, it is used solely for licensing and support, and it is never sold or shared for marketing.

You never need an account to download or use SuperCmd itself.

Third-party services

Beyond Aptabase, Microsoft Clarity, and Polar described above, this site loads a “Buy me a coffee” widget from that service's CDN. Links to GitHub, Discord, and X take you to services we do not control. Once you leave this site, the privacy policy of that service applies.

Your rights

Because we hold almost nothing, there is very little to request. If you have an account and want the associated email address deleted, get in touch and we will remove it. You can also uninstall the app at any time; since your data is local, removing the app removes the data with it.

The analytics described above are anonymous and not linked to you, so there is no individual record for us to look up or delete. If you would rather not be counted at all, block clarity.ms in your browser for the website.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of this page changes with it. We will not begin collecting personal data without saying so here first.
