Backups and Trial

  • Added .supercmdbackup export and selective import for quicklinks, snippets, notes, clipboard, screenshots, and AI chats.
  • Added data export for expired trials, available without unlocking the rest of the app.
  • Added trial reminders two days and one day before expiry.

Crash Reporting

  • Added crash reporting. After an unexpected exit, the next launch offers a report to review, share as a GitHub issue, or discard. Nothing is sent automatically.

Improvements

Performance

  • Reduced memory use with roughly 126,000 files indexed from about 641 MB to about 93 MB.
  • Reduced dictation pill CPU use to about 1% while recording and effectively zero once dismissed.
  • The file index now persists between launches and excludes node_modules, DerivedData, caches, and temporary folders by default.
  • Improved file search speed through smaller per-entry search data and fewer path allocations.

Launcher

  • Improved launcher fuzzy search
  • Down Arrow now expands the launcher in Compact mode.
  • Backspace on an empty search field now navigates back, matching Escape.
  • Logical shortcuts now follow the active keyboard layout, so Dvorak, Colemak, and custom layouts work correctly.

Extensions

  • Extension results now show the command name with the extension name beneath it, instead of combining both into the title.
  • Extension file, folder, and application preferences now use native macOS pickers instead of text fields.
  • Reopening SuperCmd within the Pop to Root window now returns to the extension screen you left, with search and selection intact.

Dictation

  • Dictation now shows warm-up progress instead of a listening waveform, and the Stop button appears only while recording.
  • Microphone and Speech Recognition permission prompts are now brought to the front.
  • Local dictation models now stay loaded for the session instead of reloading on each use.

Snippets

  • Snippets now expand as soon as the final keyword character is typed, without requiring a trailing space or Return.

Calculator

  • Added percentage, ratio, date and time, workday, PPI, unit, and function support.

Interface

  • Clipboard images now fit the preview area instead of requiring scrolling.
  • Detail panes for clipboard, snippets, notes, quicklinks, and files now scroll clear of the footer.
  • Return in a tag field now accepts the highlighted suggestion, and Backspace removes the last tag.
  • Settings now appears in Cmd-Tab while open.
  • Apple language model controls are now shown only when Apple On-Device is selected.
  • Replaced the filled back button with a transparent chevron with higher hover contrast.
  • Removed timezone abbreviations from Time widgets.
  • Reduced the brightness of the panel's top outline.

Installer

  • Removed the stray .background and .fseventsd folders from the disk image window.

Languages

  • Reviewed and corrected German, Spanish, French, Italian, Japanese, Simplified Chinese, and Traditional Chinese translations, with consistent terminology across trials, onboarding, providers, and product names.

Bug Fixes

Extensions

  • Fixed the 1Password My Vaults command closing the launcher during Touch ID authentication.

Notes

Launcher

  • Search results hold still as you type. Commands you use constantly stayed on top for the first letter, then dropped below apps you'd never opened as you typed more of the name. Ranking was rebuilt so a result only moves when the kind of match actually changes, and your most-used commands keep the top of their group the whole way through a query.
  • Escape goes back, not away. Opening a command by its own shortcut and pressing Escape used to dismiss SuperCmd entirely, while reaching the same screen by typing its name went back to the launcher. Escape now always steps back one level; press it again from the launcher to close.
  • ⌘-number hints only appear after a deliberate hold, so they stop flickering during normal use.

Notes

  • Code blocks render as a single rounded slab across the full width, and the fence markers disappear once you leave the line. Inline code no longer leaves a stray block on the line above.
  • Typing [] creates a real checkbox you can click to tick, with a visible checkmark.
  • ⌘W closes notes.

Extensions

  • SVG icons render. Extensions built around vector artwork showed blank tiles.
  • Action menus are complete. Keyboard shortcuts declared per-platform were being dropped, so some ⌘K menus showed none at all. Menus now also group into sections and show real artwork, and built-in icon coverage went from 39% to 86%.
  • Extensions that hung on launch now work. Commands pulling in a missing package sat at 100% CPU until they timed out.
  • Big list commands stay responsive. One popular extension climbed to roughly 490 MB and froze the panel for four seconds; that workload now costs no measurable time or memory.
  • Commands whose arguments are all optional open on a single Enter instead of two.
  • Menu bar extras open their menu on left-click, show item icons, honour tint colours, and refresh live.
  • Toast notifications posted by extensions have working actions.
  • Searching and scrolling long extension lists is markedly faster.

Window switcher

  • Previews are captured together rather than trickling in one at a time, and each cell holds its full size before its preview arrives, so the grid no longer resizes under the pointer.

Settings

  • AI providers are a dropdown with icons instead of every provider expanded at once.
  • Switching tabs no longer leaves the previous pane on screen.

Dictation

  • Speech Analyzer can no longer be selected while Apple Intelligence is off. The card explains why and offers a button straight to the right System Settings pane.

Fixes

  • Quick Prompt puts the caret in the input as soon as it opens.
  • Updates open in a real window.
  • Onboarding no longer warms the file index while you're still setting up.
