Feature
Raycast extensions
Last reviewed 17 October 2026
SuperCmd runs real Raycast extensions. A bundled JavaScript runtime implements the @raycast/api and @raycast/utils surface, so extensions published to the Raycast Store work in SuperCmd without modification, rendered as native SwiftUI lists, grids, forms and detail views. Most extensions work today. Extensions that depend on Raycast-managed OAuth sign-in are not supported yet.
How it works
- Extensions are installed from a catalog inside SuperCmd and stored locally.
- Each extension runs in a sandboxed JavaScript host process; the React tree it renders is translated into native SwiftUI views in the launcher.
- Extension preferences, keyboard shortcuts and the âK actions menu behave as they do in Raycast.
- Menu-bar extensions and background refresh are supported, with idle throttling to protect battery life.

- 04Run its commands from the launcher like any built-in command, or give them hotkeys and aliases.
Frequently asked questions
Which Raycast extensions work in SuperCmd?
Most extensions in the Raycast Store work in SuperCmd, including those that use your own API tokens. Extensions that rely on Raycast-managed OAuth sign-in are not supported yet.
Do I need Raycast installed to use Raycast extensions in SuperCmd?
No. SuperCmd ships its own runtime and downloads extension bundles directly. Raycast does not need to be installed.
Can I write my own extension for SuperCmd?
Yes. Build it with the standard Raycast extension toolchain and @raycast/api; the same code runs in SuperCmd.
